I received my B.Sc. in Environmental Toxicology from University of
Guelph, Guelph, Canada in 1997. I began my studies here at Rutgers in
September 1998. My project currently involves developing a screen to
detect estrogenic compounds in root extracts. The screen utilizes an
estrogen sensitive cell line from a rat pituitary tumor that has been
immortalized. This screen will have the capacity to detect
phytoestrogens and antiestrogens in the root extracts.
