This Web page is maintained by the USRowing Judge-Referee
Committee and contains the USRowing Rules of Rowing, as well as other technical
documents associated with the sport of Rowing.
Rules relating to rowing competition for domestic regattas
in the USA are contained in a comprehensive document known as the Rules
of Rowing. Candidates for the USA National Team should also consult the
Selection Procedures that are published each year. The Club Directory contains
a list of known rowing clubs and programs, with links to WWW sites. The
Regatta Venue Directory contains maps of major rowing courses in the USA.
The Committee administration page contains various information of interest
to judge-referees, including an address directory and organic documents
of the United States Rowing Association.
FISA Documents
Rules governing international competitions are contained in two
documents: (1) the FISA Rules of Racing, and (2) the FISA Racing Bylaws.
Furthermore, regulations governing FISA championships, including
the World Championships and the Olympic Regatta, are contained in (1) the
FISA Regulations for Championship Regattas, and (2) the FISA Championship
Regatta Bylaws.
Depending on the nature of your question, you may need to consult
all four documents.
The Statutes of FISA, which lay out the organizational structure
of the federation, are also supplemented by the Bylaws to the Statutes.
