Acquiring a meal plan. Students may obtain a meal plan at the Financial Services/Bursar’s Office, Artis Building, 329 Cooper Street, Camden Campus. It is the student’s responsibility to make payment for meal plan charges placed on their term bill, regardless of whether an actual bill is sent to them or not. Remaining meal plan dollars at the end of the fall semester will rollover to the spring semester. In addition, the meal plan you have selected for the Fall semester will automatically be charged to your term bill for the Spring semester. Refunds or credits are not provided for unused meal plan dollars remaining at the end of the spring semester.

How to deposit additional funds. Students can deposit additional funds to their plan anytime throughout the semester at the Bursar’s Office, 329 Cooper Street.

Any student who has not selected a meal plan through the Housing Office Contract may purchase a plan by sending an email to ruxpress@rci.rutgers.edu with name, RUID number and the meal plan selected. Top...

Minimum requirements. All Undergraduate residential students living on campus are required to have one of the following plans either the Basic Plan or the Deluxe Plan.

All students residing in the Towers Residence Hall must select either the Basic Plan or the Deluxe Plan.

All undergraduate students residing in apartment style housing are required to have a meal plan and may select any of the following - Apartment, Basic or Deluxe. All graduate and law students residing in the residence halls have the option of purchasing The Apartment, Basic or Deluxe Plan, although it is not a requirement.

The Apartment Plan is not available to residents of the Towers. The Apartment, Basic and Deluxe Plan are available to all other students - commuters, graduates and undergraduate residents of the apartments.

The cash value of each plan is stored electronically. Residents can select breakfast, lunch and/or dinner in the newly renovated dining facility. Account funds can be accessed through your RU Connection ID card (RUID). Using your ID card to purchase meals is similar to using a bank debit card. Dining Services will deduct each purchase for your meal(s) from your account and your remaining account balance will be displayed.

Other policies of Dining Services and the meal plan contract are briefly explained at the Dining Hall Policies .
