Ductile Shear Zone

A ductile shear zone affects a granodiorite with xenoliths (dark). Note that, within the shear zone, the xenoliths have highly elliptical shapes whereas, outside the shear zone (on the right of the photograph), the xenoliths are less intensely deformed.
