Dextral En Echelon Array with Sigmoidal Veins

Sigmoidal veins form an en echelon vein array from a brittle-ductile shear zone, Cornwall, United Kingdom. The maximum incremental shortening direction is parallel to the tips of the veins, indicating top to the right sense of shear. The clockwise rotation indicated by the sigmoidal veins also indicates top to the right sense of shear. Photo credit: Paul Karabinos.
