Areas of Interest
Air quality engineering; analytical methods for organic compounds in environmental and chemical engineering processes; and organic geochemistry of earth materials.
Program Committee Member, 1st PhD Workshop in CIKM (PIKM 2007), Program Committee Member, International Conference on Very Large Databases (VLDB 2007) (Infrastructure for Information Systems Track), Program Committee Member, ACM SIGMOD International Conference on Management of Data (Demonstrations) (SIGMOD 2007), Program Committee Member, First International Workshop on Ranking in Databases (DBRank 2007), member of the VERSO project at INRIA-Rocquencourt
Academic Interests and Plans
My research includes global biogeochemistry of higher molecular weight organic matter (natural products), Molecular markers in the design and optimization of process-based chemical engineering technologies (fuels, additives). I also study Air quality engineering: sources, distributions, and fates of carbonaceous aerosol particles organic molecular markers as tracers for biogeochemical and environmental processes.
