Loan Counseling Sessions are designed to educate student loan borrowers how to manage their student loans.   Borrowers must take into consideration the type of loans they have, their current financial situation, and their goals.

Those who fail to consider these factors often encounter a great deal of difficulty in loan repayment. The price for this failure is a ruined credit rating, collection costs, and lost opportunities in employment and in securing a home. This happens to people who range anywhere from no degree to a Ph.D.

As student loan regulations change, and as the number of students who participate in different loan programs increases, the subject matter becomes more complicated to the uninformed. The Loan Counseling Session will layout what the three main loan programs are, the important details of each, the importance of financial planning, and the consequences of mismanaging student loans.

Loan Counseling Sessions are mandated by federal regulations. To comply with the federal regulations we must place transcript and/or diploma holds on those borrowers who do not attend.
