Undergraduate Research Opportunity
School of Communication, Information, and Library Studies
Department of Communication
Program name and description: Independent Study. Faculty in the department of communication are active researches in the study of interpersonal, organizational and mediated communication. Research opportunities for students are many and diverse. Independent study differs from research in communication (190:470) in that there is no expectation of original research on the part of the student. Students who seek to assist in faculty research in communication should identify a faculty member with whom they would like to work and contact that faculty member directly. To obtain more information about faculty research interests, students should consult SCILS Research Directory, available in hard copy from the SCILS Dean's office and on the SCILS website.
