Center for Urban Policy Research

Program name and description:     Research Opportunities. Although the Center for Urban Policy Research does not offer courses or programs for undergraduates, students who are part of the Federal Work Study Program are given research opportunities. These opportunities are advertised on the bulletin boards of the Bloustein School and in the job bank of the Student Employment Office. Such work may include literature searches, geocoding census data, and database management. Occasionally, Center funds are made available for student support.

Participants:   

Students from all majors may participate but most are from Urban Studies, Geography, or Economics.

Student products:    

Students help complete projects and proposals for programs such as State of the Nations' Cities (HUD), Economic Benefits of Historical Preservation (National Park Service/NJ Historic Trust), and Housing Rehabilitation and Public Buildings Regulations (DCA).
