Gerald Bills' Research Interests

Dr. Gerald Bills is a Visiting Scientist in our lab.  Gerald Bills is also Senior Research Fellow at nearby Merck Research Laboratories in Rahway, New Jersey.  He has broad interests in the life-cycle biology, ecology, and systematics of filamentous fungi of potential interest to pharmaceutical research.  He and coworker Jon Polishook have been active in the development and refinement of isolation techniques for filamentous fungi, especially plant-inhabiting and soil-borne fungi, and in the quantitative measurement of fungal diversity.
