I am a professor at Rutgers University and chair of the Department of Sociology. I received a B.A. from Columbia University and a Ph.D. from The Johns Hopkins University. My research and teaching interests are in the sociology of religion, social psychology, and the sociology of the life course. Within the sociology of religion, my current research interests are in communal living, charismatic religious movements (sometimes called cults), and in the relationship between believing and belonging over time. You can contact me by any of the following methods: email: zablocki@sociology.rutgers.edu or by U.S. mail at the following address: Department
