Abstract:
Several in vitro and in vivo methods involving different human and animal models have been developed to study follicular drug deposition and targeting. This article reviews some of the study methods useful for assessing targeted delivery to the pilosebaceous unit (which is relevant to treating follicular diseases) and the effect of formulation on that delivery.
